Collection: Sodium Hydroxide

Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) is a highly caustic alkali and a strong base. It readily dissociates in water into sodium (Na⁺) and hydroxide (OH⁻) ions, giving it its high alkalinity. Use this product within 24 hrs of mixing with water.

Always add the Sodium Hydroxide Slowly to Cold water, not the other way around. Once the Sodium Hydroxide comes in contact with the water, it's going to cause a reaction and generate heat. 

Safety Considerations

Sodium hydroxide is highly corrosive and can cause severe chemical burns upon contact with skin or eyes. Inhalation of dust or mists can irritate the respiratory tract. Always use proper PPE (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) and ensure good ventilation when handling it.
